Some of us might see health care as a strategic benefit to our employees, some of us might be concerned about the increasingly complex administrative and legislative frameworks and some of us might be worried about the continuous increase in cost.  No matter the perspective, health care offering is and will continue to play a role in our employee's value proposition.

In this session with Nick Loporcaro we are taking a strategic look at healthcare in general.  How does the industry work at high level?  What are market dynamics disrupting this massive and interwoven field of providers?  What are key drivers for cost management and how employers can control them?  How is value-based care affecting the market?  And how are legislative issues impacting us in the future

Nick Loporcaro is the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Landmark Health. Landmark Health and its affiliated medical groups (Landmark) deliver comprehensive in-home medical care to frail and chronically ill patients throughout the U.S.  Nick is very knowledgeable about trends and the future of healthcare and is passionate about helping others to understand how to optimize benefits in this space.

For our April Signature Event, we are extremely proud to announce one of the world’s most recognized HR and Organization Thought Leaders, Dave Ulrich.  Throughout his career as a researcher and advisor, Dave has consistently explored the core of how HR can deliver value to all stakeholders through human capability (talent, leadership, organization, and HR).  His bestseller books reflect the evolution in his thinking: from building the right culture and leadership to deliver customer and investor value, to transforming  an HR organization that achieves agility, to improving HR competencies that upgrade HR professionals, and to diagnosing organization capabilities that deliver value to all stakeholders. In this session, Dave will reflect on how his research has led to his most recent thinking and the journey ahead for HR leaders.  He will talk about specific ways of thinking and acting to reinvent HR.  Dave will challenge your thinking as CHRO’s/VP’s HR in how you create long term value to your organization, and you will walk away with some concrete ideas on using your own and your organizations capabilities.

Dave Ulrich is the Rensis Likert Professor at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan and a partner at the RBL Group a consulting firm focused on helping organizations and leaders deliver value.  He has published over 200 articles and book chapters and over 30 books. He edited Human Resource Management 1990-1999, served on editorial board of 4 Journal and on the Board of Directors for Herman Miller (16 years), has spoken to large audiences in 90 countries; performed workshops for over half of the Fortune 200; coached successful business leaders, and is a Distinguished Fellow in the National Academy of Human Resources. He is known for continually learning, turning complex ideas into simple solutions, and creating real value to those he works with in three fields.

Networking Event

Mitch Williams

Virtual Zoom Meeting

In person. Location TBD

This is a story of combining a purposeful culture, intentional communications and change management into a business success.  Meet CSG, a distributor of specialty construction materials to general contractors, niche subcontractors and government departments.   And meet Mitch Williams, the former CEO of CSG.

Mitch will share with us how, in a rapid changing environment with 19 acquisitions in less than 4 years, he relied on HR, culture and team alignment to bring the parts together to become a significant player in the industry.  Through the lens of the CEO we will hear how human capital differentiators can have a major impact on business outcomes.

Our ROUNDTABLES are 4 events per year focused on Senior HR leaders (CHRO's, VP's HR...).  These Roundtables are exclusive for Corporate Members, no service providers will attend.  The purpose of the Roundtables is to have in-depth discussions and sharing of best practices.  Topics are chosen  for the year but as we want to be flexible and timely, we will ask members for ideas and might adapt the programming accordingly.  No substitutes or guests at Roundtables.

"Benchmarking"

"Talent Management"

In 2021, our first Roundtable about trends in labor law was very well received and our members requested to organize a similar session in the beginning of 2022.  What is on the legal horizon in the area of COVID?  Will the Biden Administration plan a major legislative agenda in the second year in Office?  Any changes expected in the area of labor negotiations?  Join us for this interactive session with our legal expert.  If you  have specific questions about upcoming legislation, please send your question to Hang Bower, so our speaker can tailor this session to your needs.

The 2020 and 2021 Roundtables on "Benchmarking" was highly successful.  Through live polling, we got instant feedback around critical topics (at the time, COVID response and work flexibility) and we had very engaged follow up discussions.  We want to repeat this session as many members told us this format is beneficial.  Who knows what the critical topics are in March (still COVID?), but for this session we promise you, we will ask timely and relevant polling questions and give our members the opportunity to interact and benchmark their decisions, processes, initiatives etc.

This roundtable will focus on Talent Management.  We leave the specific topic open so we can be timely and respond to the latest interests of our members.  We will reach out to you in April to get insights of what would be of benefit to you.  Is the "Great Resignation" still in full swing and keeping you awake?  Is the tight job market still and issue?  Is your culture resilient enough to keep talent?  We look forward to giving this session content closer to our Roundtable date in May!

Virtual Zoom Meeting

In this Roundtable we will discuss the impacts the past 23-36 months have had on executive compensation, as well as key trends going forward.  What are ongoing consequences of the pandemic?  How are legislative changes affecting compensation?  How is the job market influencing pay and benefits?  And how best to prepare for 2023?  We will collect questions specifically related to executive compensation but can also address other broader compensation-related issues if applicable to our members.
