Cyber Attack Simulation Workshop
In today’s digital environment, cyber incidents are inevitable for many companies and often accompanied by far-reaching financial and reputational impacts. In this interactive session, H/Advisors Abernathy will guide HRLN Houston members through escalating levels of a hypothetical but realistic cybersecurity crisis scenario, involving several challenging confidentiality breach and reputational issues and considerations for engagement with key stakeholders.
Participants will be asked to think critically and make difficult multi-dimensional decisions to practice real-life reputational crises. They will be asked what actions they might take to address the evolving situation, leading the group to a common understanding of best practices. Participants will also be asked to consider how Human Resources factors into crisis management, and evaluate which policies are needed during these situations. The facilitators will provide real life “war stories” and equip participants with time-tested and sometimes counterintuitive principles for effective crisis management.
